Ossett Storage Systems began life in 2001 as TM Storage Installations ran by one of the current installers (my cousin) who was passed the business down from his dad. I worked for him from the start, doing the accounts and wages, taught by our grandad. As time progressed so did my work load, up to the point I was completing all of the office work. After a few years he changed the name to Ossett Storage Systems as the company was based at our grandparents house in Ossett. In 2012 it became a LTD company.
We started out subcontracting to just one company. Now we complete sub contract Installations for Warehouse Storage Solutions Ltd, Warehouse Systems Ltd, Rack-Master Storage Systems Ltd, Avanta UK Ltd, Prodek, John Scott Works Ltd, Polypal UK and Filstorage.
I took over the business in 2020, just 2 weeks before Covid hit. I moved the business to my home, where I currently trade from. Since this time I have managed to upgrade and improve the installation teams certificates and equipment. Complete a degree in payroll management and continue to keep the business trading successfully, all whilst having a family.
I am now pushing to expand into product supply, through distribution of racking & shelving products and accessories.
As a company I try to support local charities and projects which are close to my heart.
Sue Ryder help with bereavement, and I think many people forget how important this is.
I also sponsor my sons football team, as without the help of local business, these teams cant afford to run at low costs for the kids involved.
